Moundridge Public Library's Tech Talks
Wish you could do more technology programming for your patrons? Nathan Carr, Director of Moundridge Public Library, does a different topic every month and these programs are available for any library to join.
Tech Talk Classes are held on the last Monday of the month at 6:30pm. Ways to take advantage of this content:
Watch Party - add the classes to your library program calendar, and set up a space for patrons to watch the session live (projected in your conference room or a few patrons around an isolated computer). The webinar system Zoom is used, so all you need is a computer, speakers, and to click the link to join. It is the same link every month! Nathan's sessions have these elements, depending on topic:
- Webcam - so your patrons can see he's a live human being,
- Show PowerPoint presentation or share his computer screen,
- Answer your patron questions as they come up.
Promote an Archive - Please feel free to use archives in your patron newsletters. Recordings are available the day after the session on this page.
Burn an Archive to DVD (for checkout, watching offline) - is allowed, but please let Nathan know if you do so.
Email Nathan to request more information, and get on his list for a day-of reminder with the session link & PowerPoint slides. Test sessions for joining a Zoom webinar are available.
